Assistant Professor in School Leadership and Teacher Education at the University of Galway
Dr. Mary Kelly is a Lecturer in School Leadership and Teacher Education at the University of Galway in Ireland, where she works with Undergraduate and Master’s level student teachers as well as experienced teachers on leadership programmes. Previously, she spent several decades as a Science, Humanities, and ICT educator, and Middle Level Leader within international school environments across Asia, Africa, and Europe, including two decades with the International Baccalaureate. Her research area involves exploring the worldviews and personal paradigms of educators, academics, school leaders, and professionals across the STEM and Humanities. In particular, she is interested in how personal beliefs and values inform professional practice. Dr. Kelly has initiated and led several Practitioner Research related programs across international schools and she is currently the Director of Practitioner Research for students on a Professional Masters in Education at the University of Galway.
